Booking and prices

How do I book a session with Box Box?

Call or text Carly on 07719 662005, or email cc.rehabphysio@gmail.com with a line about what is going on and which UNTIL club suits you. She will come back to you to arrange a time. Sessions are by appointment only at Marylebone, Canary Wharf and Soho, so please book before you travel.

What does Box Box charge?

Sessions with Carly are £150 for one hour. That covers assessment, hands-on treatment, rehab and performance work, including testing, at any of the three UNTIL clubs. Your first session is always a full assessment, and Carly will tell you at the end of it roughly how many sessions she expects your plan to need.

Why does a session cost £150?

Each session is a full hour one to one with Carly, a physiotherapist with more than 20 years of experience and two master’s degrees. The hour covers assessment, hands-on treatment and your rehab or training plan, with performance testing included where you need it. There is no extra charge for the programme you follow between sessions.

Can I use private health insurance with Box Box?

Possibly, depending on your insurer and policy. Some insurers only fund physiotherapists registered with them and many ask for a GP referral and an authorisation number first. Check with your insurer before booking, and tell Carly which insurer you are with when you get in touch so she can confirm.

Sessions

What happens at a first assessment with Carly?

A full hour. Carly takes your history, asks what you need to get back to, then screens how you move, how strong you are and what the problem area does under load, using objective measures where they matter. You leave with a working diagnosis in plain English and the first steps of your Box Box plan.

What should I wear to a Box Box session?

Clothes you can move and train in, plus trainers: shorts for hip, knee and ankle problems and a vest top for the neck or shoulder. Bring scan reports, surgical notes and a list of medication if you have them, and if you race, details of your car, seat and season calendar.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the problem and what you are getting back to. Most plans run for weeks to months: a recent, simple injury may need a few sessions, while rehab after surgery or a season of performance work takes longer. Carly gives you a realistic range after your Box Box assessment and reviews it as you progress.

Can sessions fit around a racing calendar or a busy job?

Yes. Your plan is built around your goals, your sport and your calendar, so sessions can be spaced around race weekends, travel and work. Carly sees clients by appointment at three UNTIL clubs, in Marylebone, Canary Wharf and Soho, so you can choose the one that is easiest to get to that week.

How do I stay motivated between sessions?

You leave each session with a clear rehab or training programme to follow, and Carly measures your progress at every visit so you can see it moving. Seeing objective numbers improve is what keeps most people going, and each plan is adjusted as you get stronger, so the work stays challenging without becoming too much.

Motorsport and performance

What does motorsport conditioning at Box Box involve?

Driver-specific work built around the physical demands of racing: neck and trunk strength for lateral G, grip and forearm endurance for steering and braking, heat and cardiovascular conditioning, and holding performance under fatigue. Karting and sim racing get posture and loading work matched to how you actually sit and drive.

What is a Hintsa Certified Coach?

Carly is a Hintsa Certified Coach, certified in a method developed by Hintsa Performance, which has been used in elite sport, including Formula 1, and in business for decades. At Box Box it means your plan looks at sleep, recovery and the rest of your week as well as the injury or the training.
